Yuumi Abilities Overview
Yuumi's passive, Bop 'n' Block, periodically shields and restores mana when she auto-attacks champions. Prowling Projectile (Q) fires a missile that can be guided while attached, slowing and dealing damage. You and Me (W) is her signature — she attaches to an ally, becoming untargetable and untargetable by enemy abilities. Zoomies (E) heals her attached ally and grants bonus movement speed and attack speed. Final Chapter (R) fires seven waves of magic damage that root enemies hit by three or more waves. Yuumi Laning Phase
Yuumi has a unique laning phase due to her attach mechanic. Use passive auto-attacks for shield and mana sustain when safe to detach and poke. Q is your primary poke tool — guide it with mouse control for max range damage. E provides sustain for your ADC during trades. Level 2 can be a threat with Q+E+passive. Against engage supports (Leona, Nautilus, Blitzcrank), stay attached to dodge hooks and CC. Against enchanters, trade poke with Q and sustain through E. Yuumi Teamfighting
Yuumi is the ultimate enabler in teamfights. Attach to your team's most fed carry and amplify their damage with E and Ardent Censer. R is a powerful zone control tool — position on a carry and fire waves to root approaching divers. Detach strategically for passive procs to restore mana and refresh shield. Against AoE comps, stay attached to avoid getting caught. The key to Yuumi is hopping between teammates — move to frontline for R engage, then attach back to carry for follow-up. In late game, Yuumi makes any hyper-carry nearly unkillable.
Yuumi Build Path
Core items for Yuumi include Moonstone Renewer for chain healing procs, Ardent Censer for attack speed and on-hit buff, and Staff of Flowing Water for ability haste. Redemption for team-wide AoE heal and damage. Mikael's Blessing for CC cleanse on carries. Shurelya's Battlesong for engage and disengage speed. Boots are Ionian Boots of Lucidity or Swiftness Boots. Runes: Summon Aery (keystone), Manaflow Band, Transcendence, Scorch, with Presence of Mind and Cut Down secondary.
Yuumi Matchups
Yuumi excels against poke lanes where her sustain can outlast the enemy — she out-heals most poke damage through Zoomies. She struggles against engage supports (Leona, Nautilus, Rell, Alistar) who can all-in her ADC and neutralize her healing. Against hook champions (Blitzcrank, Thresh, Pyke), stay attached to dodge hooks entirely. Yuumi is weak to AoE CC (Amumu, Fiddlesticks, Morgana) that can catch both her and her host.
