Xayah Abilities Overview
Xayah's passive, Clean Cuts, drops feathers behind her after each basic attack — these feathers are her core mechanic. Double Daggers (Q) throws two blades that leave feathers in a line. Deadly Plumage (W) provides bonus attack speed and damage, with Raven form granting bonus movement speed when near Rakan. Bladecaller (E) recalls all feathers on the ground, dealing damage and rooting enemies hit by at least three feathers — this is Xayah's primary CC and burst tool. Xayah Laning Phase
Xayah has strong lane presence thanks to her feather control and all-in potential. Use Q to poke and set up feathers, then E to snare enemies. W trade pattern is simple: pop W, auto-attack for bonus damage, and position feathers behind the enemy for a root. Level 6 is a major powerspike — Featherstorm provides tower dive safety and all-in threat. Xayah pairs exceptionally well with engage supports (Rakan, Leona, Thresh) who can CC enemies while she sets up roots. Xayah Teamfighting
Xayah is a self-peeling ADC who excels against dive compositions. In teamfights, position feathers strategically — auto-attack in a line to create a feather trail, then use E to root multiple enemies. Save Featherstorm (R) for crucial moments: to dodge key abilities (Zed R, Malphite R, Fizz R), not for damage. After R, you can reposition and continue DPS. Xayah's self-peel is unmatched among ADCs — she can handle divers with E root + R untargetability. Against poke comps, use W movement speed to dodge skill shots while farming.

Core items for Xayah include Kraken Slayer for attack speed and true damage synergy, Phantom Dancer for movespeed and survivability, and Infinity Edge for critical strike damage amplification. Guardian Angel is excellent against AD assassins. Lord Dominik's Regards for tank shredding. Bloodthirster for sustain. Boots are Berserker's Greaves. Runes: Lethal Tempo (keystone), Presence of Mind, Legend: Alacrity, Coup de Grace, with Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter secondary for sustain.
Xayah Matchups
Xayah excels against dive-heavy team compositions where her E root and R untargetability counter engage attempts — champions like Hecarim, Vi, Nocturne, and Malphite. She struggles against long-range poke ADCs (Caitlyn, Ashe, Ezreal) who can harass her from outside feather range. Against enchanter supports (Lulu, Janna), Xayah's all-in potential is reduced.
