The Blind Monk. Sonic Wave into Resonating Strike insec kicks, Safeguard ward hops, and Dragon's Rage displacement picks.
Jungle Fighter · The Blind Monk.
Lee Sin's Q (Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike) fires a skill shot that reveals and marks the target — reactivating dashes to them for massive missing-HP damage. Landing Q is essential for Lee Sin's damage output. His W (Safeguard / Iron Will) dashes to an ally or ward, granting a shield, then can be recast for lifesteal and spell vamp.
E (Tempest / Cripple) slams the ground to reveal invisible units, then cripples enemies in the area. R (Dragon's Rage) kicks an enemy champion, knocking back all enemies they collide with. The displacement is Lee Sin's most impactful teamfight tool — kicking the enemy tank into their carries or peeling a diver off your ADC.
Lee Sin has one of the fastest and healthiest first clears. Standard path: red buff into invading the enemy's opposite buff. Level 2 gank with red buff and Q is devastating — the slow from red + Q damage almost guarantees a kill or flash. Lee Sin's early game dominance requires aggressive pathing and ganking.
Ward hopping (W to a placed ward) is Lee Sin's most important mechanic — it enables the Insec kick and unparalleled mobility. Save your trinket wards for W hops. Post-6, look for R ganks on overextended laners — kick them toward your tower or into a wall for maximum CC.
Lee Sin has two roles in teamfights: peel for your carries or engage on the enemy backline. The Insec kick (Q-ward hop-R) is the standard engage — kick the enemy carry into your team for an instant pick. Against protect-the-president comps, peeling with R is more valuable than diving.
Lee Sin falls off in the late game — his damage is front-loaded and he can't match sustained DPS. Play for early and mid-game dominance. Post-30 minutes, focus on peeling carries and using R defensively. Building tankier in late game is often correct.
Start Hailblade with Refillable. Eclipse for the shield and burst — the shield procs help survive dives. Spear of Shojin for ability haste and AD. Black Cleaver for armor shred and HP.
Death's Dance for damage delay. Sterak's Gage for teamfight survivability. Guardian Angel for insurance. Maw of Malmortius against heavy AP. Boots are Plated Steelcaps or Mercury Treads.
Lee Sin excels in early-game duels. He struggles against late-game scaling junglers (Master Yi, Karthus, Evelynn) who outscale him, but he should dominate them before 20 minutes. Against strong duelists (Graves, Udyr, Xin Zhao), skill matchup depends on Q accuracy.
